OF FLOOR – MATERIALS

Innovation and quality

The strength and durability of industrial flooring is closely related to the choice of materials used. Di Floor offers a full range of products carefully designed and tested by our team over time.

Metal and synthetic fibers, surface hardeners, choice of different types of joints, and curing control are all elements that make us one of the leading companies in the industry.
For each product, we assist the customer in choosing the best material and its use through:
  • directions for proper implementation
  • flow rate calculations and slab sizing
  • on-site consulting and assistance

Synthetic Fibers

Structural Macro Arctium Fiber DS 30 is a polymer fiber for structural use that can be used in various industrial flooring, such as storage areas, parking lots and airport runways.
The use of Structural Macro Arctium Fiber DS 30 over iron reinforcement ensures:

Metal Fibers

Di Floor steel fibers, as a replacement for electrowelded mesh, offer significant structural advantages:
In particular, in Di Floor we use Fibercem P50, a fiber produced from a special blanked alloy of various lengths and sizes with the specificity of greater adherence to the calcelstrument than normal steel wire fibers. This fiber can be used for:

Metal joints

The bidirectional metal formwork construction joint provides total edge protection to the passage of trolleys, with the transverse insertion of metal plates contributing to the transfer of loads from one slab to another. Available in different heights and thicknesses.
In Floor we use the following metal joints:
DI JOINT H construction joints ensure equal distribution of loads among the various panes by preventing excessive localized stresses. Construction profiles help reduce stresses and strains while also reducing surface cracking and making the floor more durable, while also improving comfort in use.

The joints should be in such numbers as to divide the floor into more or less square regular sections depending on the concrete supply and the potential of the team, with an area equal to the expected daily floor production. Refer to CNR-DT 211/2014 for the design and quantity of joints to be used.
DiJOINT S is utlized in particular in the closure of floor castings without joints to make up for the strong shrinkage of concrete in order to avoid the frequent impact when small wheels of pallet trucks and trolleys pass by.

It offers high resistance to abrasion and high loads and helps prevent cracks in floors while avoiding costly repairs. Its use results in reduced floor maintenance expenses.

It distributes stresses evenly within the concrete floor ensuring unambiguous horizontal movement across the entire surface. They also decrease wheel impact noise.
Expansion Joints
Expansion joints are a necessary execution of cuts, in the first hydrometric shrinkage of concrete, to prevent the formation of cracks in the most critical points.
It is necessary to divide the pavement into squares of 4×4 – 5×5 by means of a diamond disc of the depth of one-fifth of the thickness.
It is necessary to perform an initial sealing by means of a protective profile DIPLAST
DI PLAST is a balloon-type sheathing for sealing expansion joints, maintaining the position without leaking or descending into the depth of the joint. It can be used for both permanent and temporary sealing.

Dust- and abrasion-resistant surface hardeners

Specific products designed to ensure the surface resistance of the floor and counteract micro-cracking, made with the highest-grade minerals and type 425 Portland cement.
Available in two versions:
S(Standard): composition of minerals and cement for common use.
HP (High Performance): composition of minerals in grain size curve, cement mix reduced to the minimum necessary, microfibers and anti-shrinkage additives.
ESPANSCRETE is a shrinkage compensator used in doses ranging from 0.6 percent to 2 percent by weight of cement.
DI QUARTZ is a suitable mixture of hard aggregates for monolithic industrial floors applied as a fresh-on-fresh dry shake. Its characteristic high mechanical strength makes it particularly suitable for use in high-traffic industries and warehouses.
DI PLAST is a balloon ‘joint cover’ sleeve for sealing expansion joints composed of two materials:
Elasto Plastic
Soft and Elasto
Plastic Semi-Rigid.
Its special balloon shape, makes it hold in place without leaking or dropping into the depth of the joint.
DI COR is composed of a mixture of mineral aggregates and synthetic abrasives (corundum), suitable for the construction of floors subjected to medium-heavy traffic, even for activities with the passage of automatic laser-guided trolleys.
DI TOP is made from different types of mineral and synthetic abrasives, creating a wear-resistant, dustproof coating that can withstand intense transits. Ideal for companies with cart handling and industrial workshops. Available in various shades and in standard and HP (High Performance) versions.
DI LITIO is a highly concentrated lithium mixture specifically formulated as a surface hardener and thickener for concrete pavements.
It penetrates deeply for minimal absorption into all absorbent surfaces.
It can also be applied immediately after finishing with a mechanical helical trowel to fresh surfaces, thus acting as an anti-evaporation system.
DI CURING is an anti-evaporating emulsion that prevents the rapid evaporation of water in fresh concrete, increases hardness and abrasion resistance, and prevents the formation of dust and cracks. Applicable on all types of industrial quartz and concrete floors.
